Providing a Place of Worship: At Masjid Umar Cardiff, we aim to offer a welcoming and sacred space for those who follow the Islamic faith in Cardiff. Our beautiful mosque is open to all, serving as a spiritual haven where individuals can connect with Allah in peace and tranquillity.
Promoting and Enhancing Socio-Religious Betterment: We are dedicated to the socio-religious betterment of the Muslim community in Cardiff. Our various programs, events, and initiatives are designed to foster a sense of unity, understanding, and cooperation among our community members.
Providing Comprehensive Facilities: Masjid Umar Cardiff is committed to meeting the needs of the Muslim community. We provide a range of facilities aimed at advancing education, supporting health and wellness, and addressing social and religious welfare concerns. From educational programs to funerals, our services cater to a wide spectrum of needs.
Encouraging Learning and Discussion: Our mosque is not just a place of worship; it is also a centre for learning and discussion about Islam. We actively promote dialogue and understanding among Muslims and the wider local community. At Masjid Umar Cardiff, we offer a wide range of services to cater to the needs of our community:
We provide daily prayer services and Jumu'ah (Friday) congregational prayers.
Masjid Umar Cardiff provides assistance to those in need, including food drives.
Our mosque offers Quranic classes, Islamic studies, and educational seminars to enrich the knowledge of all age groups.
Our mosque is equipped with Wudhu facilities, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for ablution before prayers.
We organise health clinics and awareness campaigns to ensure the well-being of our community members.
In times of grief and loss, we offer comprehensive funeral services to help bereaved families with the Islamic burial process and provide support during difficult moments.
During the blessed month of Ramadan, we host a daily Iftar dinner. This initiative has been a tradition for several years, providing a nourishing meal for breaking the fast. We are proud to offer this service FREE of charge to our community members, and it has been warmly appreciated by all.
We take pride in serving the needs of our community and strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where all can benefit from these services.
The word 'donation' has great value in Islam. The religion of peace instructs its followers to give as many donations as they can to earn sawab/spiritual rewards. To encourage Muslims to donate money, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Judgment will be his charitable acts.”
Also, nothing compares to the joy which comes from playing your role in a constructive cause. You feel at peace, knowing that you are spending a good share of your wealth in God’s way.
We offer prayer facility, funeral services, nikkah services, and more and need donations to keep our cause going.
